there will be no interpreter at any Masses during Deaf Mass weekend!
Information for our beloved interpreters:
The hard copy of the petitions and announcements can be found in the sacristy at St. Paul. It will be labeled "ASL Copy".
Petitions
For the Church, that we may produce the fruit of the kingdom of God through our works of mercy, charity, and evangelization, we pray to the Lord.
For world leaders, that they may work to reduce pollution in the air, in the water, and on the land, so that this planet can better support the growth and diversity of plants, animals, and people, we pray to the Lord.
For those that are pregnant, those who are sick or near death, and those who care for them, may realize the dignity of all human life and receive the support they need, we pray to the Lord.
That Dennis Pruitt and all who have died may be judged in mercy on the last day, and may all of us, the living and the dead, rise in glory and grace on that great day, we pray to the Lord.
For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts(pause 10 seconds); for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, we pray to the Lord.
Announcements
Our next Parish Food Drive benefiting Catholic Charities will be this Wednesday from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. Please bring your donated food items and drop them off in the Catholic Charities truck. The need continues to be critical. Thank you!
Young adults ages 18 to 35 are invited to join our Catholic Young Adult group for the upcoming events in October. Flyers with the full calendar are available at both doors. We look forward to seeing you there.
Blessed Fulton Sheen
Blessed Fulton Sheen was beatified on September 24, 2026, in St. Louis! It was interpreted, and Fr. Christopher Klusman was there as well. Cardinal Tagle in the video below signed "I love you" and "thank you" in ASL as he was proceeding from the altar after Mass.
There were over 50,000 people there! This included 1,000 priests, 90 bishops, 260 deacons, and 850 seminarians, religious brothers & sisters!
We venerated Blessed Fulton Sheen's mandible after Mass.
If you want to be a sacristan for Deaf Mass and help prepare for Mass, then you will need sacristan training -- even if you were already trained before. The reason for this: St. Paul has a very specific procedure for sacristans. So, if you are sacristan or want to be sacristan for Deaf Mass, we will need to set up Sacristan Training. Are you interested?
Yes!
